Unit title: Healing
Through the Human Energy Field
Credit value: 4 credits (for occasional study purposes this unit will be regarded as one unit)
Description: This unit provides a comprehensive introduction to the art of healing via the human energy field (aura). The unit may be used for personal interest, to learn self-healing, as a refresher or CPD course for practicing healers, or for study prior to attending a practical healing course at a suitable college. The textbook is richly illustrated. Topics include the development of the healer, the aura and the chakras, psychodynamics and healing, the healer’s perception, the nature of disease, processes of spiritual healing, and self-healing.
Key textbook: Brennan, Barbara Ann. Hands of Light: A Guide to Healing Through the Human Energy Field. Bantam Books, 1988. (other editions are in print).
Prerequisites: Some prior training and/or experience in some form of energy healing and a knowledge of the aura and chakra systems is preferred but not essential.
