Death and Dying

Description: This course studies material from a seminar originally presented at the University of Chicago by psychiatrist Dr Elisabeth Kübler-Ross concerning the psychological effects of terminal illness on the patient and others involved. This seminar series proved popular with students, staff, patients and relatives alike, and introduced the now familiar five stages of coming to terms with death. The text includes further material arising from the seminar series and observations on therapy with the terminally ill.
