Description: This group of courses continues the approach begun with units REG 342 and 343. Each of these three courses takes an overview of a particular area of transpersonal altered-state work and how it is approached by different practitioners in the field.
The student will come to this series of units with at least a sound theoretical knowledge of past life therapy. At this point the student should be aware that a past life regression session or spontaneous regression experience can open the gateway to other experiences beyond the present identity or ego. We can also use the term “transpersonal” (which simply means beyond the boundaries of the present self) to categorise such experiences.
Jon Klimo PhD, in his foreword to the set text, explains how he regards human development as extending before physical birth and after physical death. If one accepts that the present lifetime (from birth on) is not the sum total of human existence, then we must ask what ideas, theories, models and beliefs we have about existence before birth and after death. And since we know that it is possible to regress people hypnotically to memories of previous days, the question arises of whether we can regress people to periods or experiences beyond the confines of the present physical lifetime, and whether we can use such regression techniques therapeutically.
Like the previous courses in this series, which used Regression Therapy Vol. I edited by Winafred Blake Lucas, this set of units uses the companion volume (see below) to see how different clinicians regard the spectrum of transpersonal life, and how they facilitate contact with those areas of consciousness, using regression hypnotherapy or altered state techniques. Case history examples will be given throughout the key text. The concentration of this set of courses is on 3 key areas as per the course unit titles:
REG 344 Prenatal and Childhood Regression 2.0 credits
REG 345 Interlife and Prenatal Communication 2.0 credits
REG 346 Regression, Releasement and Thanatology 2.0 credits

Comments:
This unit comprises academic study only. It is not a training in past life therapy or regression therapy, and students who have completed this unit should not regard themselves as trained in those disciplines without taking a practical course from a suitable training body. Credit towards a Calamus degree may be obtained, subject to approval, for such trainings.
Amendments may be made to the details and provision of units at any time.
