Description: This course comprises a selection of up-to-date studies on the role of applied psychology in working life. Topics include well-being and human performance; shiftwork; people and computers; selection and assessment of staff; training and careers; stress and burnout; emotion at work; occupational safety and job design; leadership and teams; organizational performance and organizational change. This course will be of interest to managers, employees, supervisors, directors, personnel officers, human resources staff, equal opportunities personnel, counsellors, psychotherapists, hypnotherapists, occupational health workers, union officials, arbitrators and mediators, and anyone who wants a greater understanding of how people behave in large or small organizations.
