Unit title:           Psychological Problems of Adulthood

Credit value:      3 credits 

Description:        This course offers an introduction to the main psychological problems of adulthood such as depression, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, addiction, schizophrenia and sexual/marital problems.  No previous knowledge of psychology is necessary and basic information about psychological concepts is given. Each group of disorders is presented in terms of  symptoms, theories, research findings and applicable therapies. Because the set text contains chapters by experts in different areas, the student will receive authoritative clinical and academic information.
