Unit title:           Practical Psychology of Music

Description:        How does the type of music you listen to affect your moods and energy level?  Can music help you to learn and heal?  What music is recommended for therapeutic purposes? Is it true that rock music is bad for you?  How can you use music with visualization?  What music is beneficial for children?  These and many more questions are answered in this unit which is a guide to using music for self-empowerment, learning, healing, exploring feelings, and personal/spiritual growth.  The unit includes instructions for activities for adults and children, and summarized scientific discoveries about how music affects the mind, brain and immune system.
