The Near-Death Experience

Description: The near-death experience has been reported since antiquity and this unit provides a multi-disciplinary study of the phenomenon, using a collection of papers by authors such as Raymond Moody, Dannion Brinkley, Lewe Bailey, Carl G. Jung, Marie-Louise von Franz, Michael Grosso, Sogyal Rinpoche, Kenneth Ring, Ian Stevenson, Susan Blackmore, Charles Tart, and David Lorimer. The near-death phenomenon is considered with relation to visions, dreams, archetypes, survival after death, human evolution, neuroscience, wisdom, mysticism and a number of other perspectives. Questions posed by this unit include how to help NDE experiencers and what after-effects the NDE has.
