Ley lines and Alignments

Description: Leys, or ley lines, are straight lines linking ancient monuments, and were discovered by Alfred Watkins in 1921. But what exactly are they and what was their purpose? This unit looks into the mystery of ley lines and considers various explanations: magnetic fields, earth energies, sacred geometry, funeral ceremonies, shamanic journeying pathways and other ideas. The set text also gives a guide to “ley hunting” (or tracking leys) and a directory of ley lines in the UK and Europe.
