Unit title: The
Nature of Mass Events
Credit value: 3 credits
Description: This unit offers a study of what may be called “esoteric social psychology” through reading the Seth channelings published as “The Individual and the Nature of Mass Events”. The Seth material is one of the key bodies of channeled work of the 20th Century. Avoiding New Age platitudes, apocalyptic prophecies and cozy messages, the scripts offer an erudite and intellectually challenging discussion of many issues. The theme in these readings is the connection between personal beliefs and world events. Topics discussed include the unconscious beliefs pervading science and religion, and analyses of scientific thought, psychology, old and new religions and medical theories.
