Learning

Description: This course provides an overview of contemporary theory and practice in body-based learning, an approach that recognizes that not just the mind, but the whole body, is involved in learning. Topics include: how physical movement helps the brain learn; how sensation mediates learning; how body, emotion and thought are interlinked; how movement anchors thought; an introduction to the Brain Gym system of movement exercises; stress and learning disabilities. This unit will be important to all teachers, educators, parents, workers with children and all concerned with learning at any age.
