Performance Appraisal

Description: Staff appraisal is a key tool in increasing the efficiency and hence the profitability of the organization. It also can provide benefits to the employee through increasing job satisfaction. In this unit filled with practical knowhow, the basic concepts of performance appraisal will be covered, enabling the student to plan and conduct a successful appraisal. Topics include core appraisal skills, rules of negotiation, job analysis, person specification, the interview, appraisal types, evaluation, troubleshooting and conflict resolution. This unit will be of interest to students of Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Coaching, and to any manager in business or public service who needs to appraise staff.
