Description: This unit is about the issues in the international arena that affect and influence how business operates globally. In this age of e-business, high speed communications and better logistics, businesses big and small have the opportunity to compete globally. In some industries competing internationally is a matter of survival. This unit allows the student to acquire familiarity with issues that constantly drive international business management. Among the topics covered are the competitive landscape, technological environment, culture, the social and demographic environment, and the political and legal environments. This unit is suitable for undergraduate and masters level students taking a module on the international context and environment of business as part of a management degree.
