Hypnosis Techniques for Youth and Adults
Credit value: 3 credits
Description: This course presents a comprehensive set of flexible script-based hypnotherapeutic techniques using hypnotherapy transform the problems and lives of adults and youths. This collection of techniques is a key addition to the repertoire of the hypnotherapist. Some transpersonal scripts are included (e.g.past life regression). This series of scripts and techniques continues and complements the ones presented in unit HYP 265. The scripts, which can be adapted as required for each situation or used as a basis for creating unique sets of suggestions, include procedures for affirmations, inductions, ideomotor (finger signal) techniques, regression induction, releasing the past, abuse, addictions, anxiety, sport, depression/grief/loss, habits, learning, performance anxiety, illness, relationships, self-confidence, tobacco, weight, miscellaneous tips, stories and metaphors.
Prerequisite: A basic grounding in hypnotherapeutic inductions and techniques. Prior study of HYP 265 is strongly preferred especially for those who are working with children and young adults.
