Unit title: Healing
Hypnosis for Children and Youth
Credit value: 3 credits
Description: This course teaches a comprehensive set of flexible script-based hypnotherapeutic techniques using hypnosis, visualization and imagination to transform the problems and lives of children and youths. Various scripts and approaches more geared toward adults are also included. Of course, since in hypnosis adults frequently regress or access the inner child, use of child- and youth-based scripts might be suitable for people of any age as part of healing the inner child. This collection of techniques, some incorporating NLP principles, is therefore a key addition to the repertoire of the hypnotherapist. The scripts, which can be adapted as required for each situation or used as a basis for creating unique sets of suggestions, include procedures for general child-specific inductions, problem-solving, confidence, self-esteem, making friends, learning and schoolwork, athletic skills, health, good sleep, children’s wake-up script, youth/adult inductions, releasing the past, fears & anxiety, sports and music performance, success, stop smoking, weight, positive affirmations, ideomotor techniques, metaphors.
Prerequisite: A basic grounding in hypnotherapeutic inductions and techniques.
