Unit title: Strategies
& Cases of Regression Hypnotherapy
Credit value: 3 credits
Description: This unit presents theory, techniques and case studies of regression hypnotherapy by a prominent hypnotherapist and trainer. Regression to non-traumatic and traumatic experiences is covered, with applications of each type of regression. Other topics in this unit include: integration of Gestalt therapy methods, ideomotor signals, direct vs. indirect suggestion in regression, the recovered memory controversy, integration of gestalt dreamwork with hypnotherapy. The textbook presents a number of case-study transcripts demonstrating the methods in action.
Prerequisite: A basic grounding in hypnotherapeutic inductions and techniques.

Comments:
This unit is not in itself a training or qualification in hypnotherapy.
This unit is not specifically concerned with regression to past lives (previous lives as in reincarnation), although it contains material which will be very relevant for the past-life regression practitioner. Other Calamus units concerning past life regression are available. This unit focuses on regression within the present lifetime including to dreamlike states.
