Unit title: Ericksonian
Trance Communication
Credit value: 3 credits
Description: Based upon a live seminar in advanced Ericksonian hypnotherapy, this unit demonstrates through transcripts and discussion sophisticated methods of induction, dissociation, catalepsy, healing strategies, interviewing, posthypnotic suggestion and metaphor construction. The unit provides a powerful primer, refresher or professional development course in Ericksonian techniques. Unlike most textbooks, the key text is written in a “holographic” fashion which encourages retention of information at the unconscious level and maximum use of the “trance state” of reading the textbook itself.
