Unit title:           Sophia, Goddess of Wisdom

Description:        This course explores the complex symbolism, mythology and significance of the archetypal Divine Feminine figure of Sophia, a central manifestation of Goddess spirituality. The set text draws upon material from the Western Esoteric Tradition, comparative religion, history of religion, feminist theology and New Age studies.

Note: an expanded updated edition was published by Quest Books, 2001.  At present our unit is based on the original edition, but registered students may request a unit based on the new edition.
