Unit title:           Spiritual Intelligence

Credit value:      3 credits

Description:        In recent years, the discussion of intelligence has broadened beyond IQ to include other types of intelligence such as emotional intelligence (EQ) and spiritual intelligence (SQ). SQ is presented here as the dimension of intelligence which involves creativity, values, self-awareness, spirituality, morality, inspiration, being holistic, seeking meaning, avoiding harm to others, and the ability to be unconventional. This unit includes a discussion on scientific evidence for SQ, the lotus model of the self, SQ and ethics, paths to improve SQ, and being spiritual in a non-spiritual culture.
