Unit title:           Readings in Body Psychotherapy

Credit value:      3 credits

Description:        Body psychotherapy is rooted in the theories of Reich, Freud and Jung. However, many counsellors and psychotherapists have little knowledge of body psychotherapy and this course unit provides a history and overview of contemporary practice in the form of papers by well-known (mainly British) practitioners from different body-oriented approaches. Special topics included include post-Reichian body psychotherapy; sexuality; biodynamic massage; trauma therapy; imagery; psycho-spiritual approaches and regression to past lives.
