Unit title:           Counselling Young People

Description: This unit covers the principles of counseling adolescents within a psychoanalytic framework inspired by the ideas of Winnicott and Klein. The main parts of the set text cover the theory of developmental psychology and change as applied to adolescence; an introduction to psychoanalytic theory concerning the development of young people; and the aims and nature of counseling process. There is also a discussion of professional and ethical issues.
