Unit title: Practical
Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
Credit value: 3 credits
Description: This unit is “practical” in the sense that it brings psychodynamic theory into the modern world, and provides an integrated and relevant interpretation of modern theory and therapeutic process that takes into account current concepts of social and sexual diversity. Illustrated by case histories, the set text covers the themes and stages of human development as they are played out in the therapeutic relationship, when material from childhood and adolescent development can be encountered in adult clients.
