The listing of any body on this page does not imply that it is the only, pre-eminent or leading body in its field. Many professions and areas of expertise have a number of competing professional bodies, some better known than others.

Please note that it is not part of the remit of most bodies to recognize and/or accredit degrees. However where we have an agreement with a professional body, the learning gained in relevant degree courses can nevertheless be approved for professional membership purposes subject to the rules of the professional body.
