of Calamus International University, a global provider of higher education for
experienced and independent students, professionals, managers and executives.
All distance degrees
are validated by CIU and are non-UK qualifications. This website also
features certain distance diplomas and certificates awarded in the UK by Calamus Extension
College Ltd. and/or Kadmon Academy of Human Potential. These courses can
count towards Calamus International University degrees.

Independent Study for Research Degrees (Thesis/Dissertation)
Under the independent study scheme, if we do not have
taught courses in your field, you may submit a thesis under the guidance
of a specialist CIU adjunct faculty member or local expert mentor subject to
approval. Established experts in a particular field may apply to be
treated as independent scholars, which means that instead of the
traditional supervision arrangement, the thesis is assessed by an
independent study panel. These schemes will allow students of
a wide range of subjects to work towards a PhD degree by thesis, subject to approval.
