HOW TO PAY

• The following payment methods are accepted by Calamus Extension College Ltd:
• UK personal or company cheque
  UK bank draft
  UK internet banking transfer
  UK BACS or CHAPS transfer
  UK credit card cheque (Please read the conditions carefully to make sure you can use the cheque to buy something and not just for credit transfer. We may have to charge a fee if the cheque bounces.)
  UK flexible mortgage account cheque
  Cash deposited into a branch of our bank (UK only) - subject to limits as per current regulations. Proof of ID may be required.
  All countries - direct bank transfer (wire transfer)
  All countries - banker's draft (cashier's check) in Pounds Sterling drawn on a London bank and sent by registered post or DHL courier to our London address [please note that even registered or courier mail is not 100% reliable internationally and it is best to use wire transfer if at all possible. Wire transfer will probably cost less than using a courier.] 
• Most countries - payment by credit card on-line via PayPal (You do NOT need a PayPal account to pay by credit card on-line. However please wait for us to send you a PayPal Payment Request email first.)
• Most countries - Google Checkout (This works like PayPal but you need to hve a Google email account).
• Republic of Ireland cheque in Euros (please add 30 Euros for processing and handling and wait 28 days for clearing)
• Travelers Express Moneygram (ask for instructions before using this method) or
  Western Union cash transfer (ask for instructions before using this method)
• Please note WE DO NOT ACCEPT "Instant Cash" ® Global Money Transfers. You will have to arrange to use Travelers Express Moneygram or Western Union cash transfers instead.
   
• DO NOT send cash through the post.
• All remittances (except Moneygram or Western Union) should be payable to "Calamus Extension College Ltd"
• When sending cash via Moneygram or Western Union we will give you the location and name of the person responsible for receiving the payment.
• We will only release bank details for transfer purposes when we receive a completed application form and all other necessary information from the student, including proof of ID if required.

Is it possible to pay by credit card?

• Yes, on-line via PayPal (see above) - you do NOT need to open a PayPal account. However, PayPal payments may not be available from certain countries, or to students who are away from the country in which their account is based.  You can also obtain a cash loan via your credit card to fund a bank transfer, or use a UK credit card cheque.
  You can also use credit cards to pay via Google Checkout.
• We do NOT accept credit card payments over the telephone.
• Please do NOT give us your credit card number, as we do not process cards directly.

I live outside the UK. Can I pay the College when I come to England?

• Please contact us for advice.  It is normally best for you to pay from your home country.  Remember we are a distance learning college and deal with students all over the world who never come to the UK. We are used to arranging payments from many countries.
• Our London office address should be used for correspondence only. Staff at that address are NOT authorised to accept cash or to take credit cards.

• When you are ready to enrol, we will be happy to discuss payment details with you:
• A discount of 10% is normally available for full payment at enrolment (not available with any other discount or offer)
• A partial bursary or concessionary rate of fee might be available for certain courses
• A modular payment scheme might be possible, though this may lose you any entitlement to discount.

Due diligence and high-risk countries

We reserve the right to change the methods of payment we accept from certain countries at any time.  Our bank details are NOT released to certain high-risk countries (for example, Nigeria) under any circumstances. 

We are unable to accept any payments from Iranian banks.
